Pets Helping Pets,
founded by Valerie Curtis, is a
pet sitting and dog walking service located in Burlington, MA, that pledges to donate a portion of
customer charges to an animal charity of their choice.
Valerie
is a lifelong lover of animals and has had a menagerie of pets since she can remember. The
pets that have left the most impressionable memory on her are...
- The sweet male rabbit Iggy, who was left on Val's doorstep and quickly multiplied
with her 2-female rabbits, Budget and Chelsea, before she could get things ‘taken care of’.
- A regal, orange striped, tough as nails, stray cat Henry, Val took into her
house. The vet estimated Henry to be 12 years. Henry was with Val for 9 years more.
- Toby, a very adorable, albeit stubborn Siberian Husky Val rescued
from a shelter (and spoiled). Toby insists on singing and dancing for his daily walks, and also for his
dinner every night.
- Pip, an uncharacteristically large
Border Collie Val raised from a pup, and described by others to be a total ‘mama’s boy’.

After many years of working as a software quality analyst, Valerie decided to incorporate her fondness for animals
and natural ability to connect with pets into her professional life. She started Pets Helping
Pets to provide exceptional, personalized at-home pet care, with the emphasis on customer service and the safety and comfort
of her pet clients.

In addition, Valerie and Pets
Helping Pets, are proud to set aside a portion of customer charges for donation to local animal shelters & breed
rescue programs that provide a safe place for pets in ownership transition, and to also contribute to wildlife/environmental
related charities dedicated to preserving wildlife species and habitats.
